On March 2. 2025, Orthopaedic Specialists of Connecticut (“OSC”) fell victim to a cyberattack, whereby a hacker gained access to its network. OSC subsequently conducted an investigation, which determined a cybercriminal had stolen the personally identifiable information of its current and former patients maintained therein on the above-referenced date. Although the exact nature of the personal information involved in the data breach varies by person, the compromised information includes the following sensitive data:

- dates of birth
- Social Security numbers
- health insurance ID numbers
- medical information
